Make a photovucket login then upload your pics then just copy and paste the IMG code from the photobucket page into your post.

Hello all,
I have been poking around this site for some time and decided to sign up and make a post finally.

I bought my first road bike (89 600f) about a year ago now, I live in BC so we dont get to ride much in the winter so I decided to tear the bike down suring the winter and try and fix up a few things.

When I bought the bike it was worse for wear
-almost all of the plastics where cracked
-some lights did not work
-chain was garbage
-nasty ticking sound (discovered it was a loose spark plug!)
-garbage tires
-Leaking gas tank
-peeling paint on gas tank
-no inspection panels

I do not have a garage so I am lucky enough to attempt all the fixing up in my laundry room... (I have a really great Girlfriend.....).

Here are a few pictures along with a few questions

Bringing it inside last fall

This will be the resting place for now, as you can see the inspection panels are missing. Unfortunately I did not get pictures before I stripped it!

Looks like I figured out pictures...
Anyways, I forgot to mention that I ordered the two lower fairings off of maier. I was not impressed with the shipping cost (around 200 when you included dutie fees). The aftermarket fairings are much thinner than the oem ones but they will have to do.

Any ideas on color? I was thinking about painting it silver (the silver that honda used on the latest cbr). Or possibly white to keep it original.

The silver I was thinking of would be similar to pandoras bike in the this thread

Couple Questions

1.I am open for tire recommendations and also mirrors... I was thinking about f4i mirrors? Thinking about Continental go on the front (110/80/17), Pirelli sport demons on the back (150/70/17)

2.Also how have other people been mounting there exhaust if they don't mount the brackets that have the passenger pegs on them?

3. Can you tell me if I should get a new sprocket?

Sprocket and chain look almost oem - a change would be good might as well change the
front one at the same time
