Default 88 Project Bike...need help...and parts...and advise

I just bought an 88 CBR project, and could use some help.
The previous owner torn the bike apart, had the frame powder coated and got a newer motor for it. He started putting it together and then lost interest. It sat in the back of the garage for years. I bought it and the guy gave me a bucket'o'parts. I have started going through the manual and getting things installed, and have hit a roadblock. I need parts. And answers.

I need the upper fairing, and front fender.
I need to know if I can use a 1996 CBR fuel pump ?-its the closest thing I can find right now (unless someone has the correct one and wants to sell it)
On the F2 and F3 are the throttle, clutch and choke routed the same on all bikes? I have an F3 diagram, but need to know how to route the cables on my 88.

More questions and pictures to follow.

Ok- parts starting to arrive. Does anyone have any idea where the battery negitive cable attaches to on the bike? If you have a picture it would be great!

There are two bolts that hold the starter. The negative cable goes on the bolt closer to the front of the bike. The ground for the whole machine depends on the connection made through the housing, so if the starter has not been removed I would advise that you remove it and clean the corrosion up on the mount.

I bought a totally disassembled bike not that long ago. I invested 13 hours to reassemble it and get it running. I still have to put on the rest of the bodywork on. Not including the bodywork, frame, and engine, I picked it up in 4 rubbermaid totes!
It was also an abandoned project.
Good luck on your build.

Does anyone have/willing to sell the front fairing +signals, and front fender.

I think I got hosed on a deal to buy them. Got the guys name, email, cell phone number, paypal....sent him money via paypal and got a USPS tracking number that after a week is still not in USPS's system. If the fairings don't show in the next couple of days, I will be on the hunt, minus $250.00. I am still holding out hope that he was honest, but if not, well I just hope that the fairings show, we will leave it at that for now.

Got the engine to fire today! Really good feeling!
With the D&D exhaust it sounds great. Next up...the brakes.

Try and get yourself the actual Honda Shop manual.

Invaluable tool and much better then the clymers.

Good luck!
