Default 87 hurricane rolling seks build

I Will be updating and making this into a proper build thread but before then i finally decided on the paint scheme its gold/black/red not too out there but attention to detail will make it over the top. now use ur imaginations

omg what was i thinking
ill revise this post after i get back from court.

:the next day:

ok well i now know the due date for this build May 02, 2012 thats the end of my suspension.
i dont think will take me that long
paint will be flat black with red metallic (think anodized red) as a secondary color, im going to keep tank original but repaint it of course.
not sure if ishould black out engine or just valve, trans, sprock covers.
wheel color up in the air

aND! I go this in the mail, float height tool and gaskets wooo

id be interested in how your gas tank turns out. what type of solution do you have in it? what type of electrode do you have hooked up to the battery charger? how bad was the inside to begin with? any links to the process?

good luck with the build, you're off to a great start, reminds me of my build

i used baking soda and water as for the electrode i just used a bent piece of pipe and let it run for about 30 hours. the inside was extremely rusted but its all better now

copper pipe? is that plug on top air tight? or is it just to insulate it from toughing the sides?
i have a tank just like yours thats totaly nasty on the inside. i was gonna try muratic acid, but i dont want to ruin the paint. i thought CLR might be a little less harmful, but still might mess it up.

so just water and baking soda... sounds like i might have to try that

its not air tight just centered so that it doesn't touch the sides, i used the top of a spray can as a base so that it would be supported

frame is sanded and tank will be done shortly, i still have yet to decide on the color scheme. trying to track down an f3 tail section as well as info regarding the3 output pressure for the fuel pump cause im trying to add an aftermarket regulator and is there a way to bypass the relay for the pump if not im going to just rig up a standard relay.

also my frame has the crack but is it truly detrimental or just cosmetic? has there been any incidents of the frame braking or separating due to the crack? id rather save the cash instead of going thru any unnecessary procedures but if it needs to be done ill do it. i will also be needing a lower triple tree clamp due to mine being cracked along with warped rotors both front and back
