87 CBR 600 newbie in need of assistance
Hello
I just purchased a CBR 600 for my wife to learn to ride on. I think I got a good deal for $200.
It does have a few issues such as it is in need of fairings and the question I have is in reguards to the gas tank.
How are the fuel lines connected to the gas tank the tank was off the bike and needs to be put back on and I'm not sure how to connect the the lines from the tank and fuel pump.
Any help would be great.

stock, it had some preformed curved fuel lines. you should be able to just go buy some fuel line from a motorcycle, or auto parts store.
it went fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel pump, carbs. just get some line and connect it in that order and you should be good.
good luck with your new bike, fairings are hard to come by, but this is a great site for any help you need.

I can't remember exactly but I would download a manual if I were you. It will be very helpful.

a picture would help, i dont understand what you are describing.
on the left side, there should be a big threaded "bung" that a petcock attaches to. the petcock is what selects reserve, off, or on. sounds like you're missing the petcock.
the only other outlet that i know of is towards the back in the center. its the overboard drain from up under the gas cap.

Thanks for the help fellas sorry I didn't respond sooner been realy busy....So I went to a buddys house and looked at his bike and was able to hook up my lines and she fired up! It was running a little ruff so i think i need to clean the carbs and give it a lil toon up....with a little elbow grease I should be able to get her running real good!
