1990 cbrf carb synch/balance?
Hi guys,
I have just bought a 1990 model cbr600f that is in very good condition.
it has only covered 26000 miles to date and I am re-commisioning it at present. It was in dry storage for many years.
It runs fine but I want to sync the carbs as I have vacum gauges and have balanced carbs on quite a few of my bikes in the past.
The problem I have is I can not find out where to hook the vacum hoses up to the carbs!
I have found the adjuster screws on the carbs and the mechanics of carb balancing is easy for me.
Could anyone tell me where you hook up the vacum hose's to the carbs on this model,I've looked for over an hour and can not find where to connect them!
I have removed the tank and airbox and have also had a good look in through the sides of the fairing still no joy!
Any help in relation to the location of the elusive connections would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Pat.

our carbs dont' have nipples. if youlook at each orunner behind the carb's, 3 cylinders have phillip screws with a crush washer, and i think cyl #2 has a 10mm bolt/phillip. remove those, and installe your own nipples.

Hi,
Thanks for the info but I'm still a bit unsure exactly where you mean?
Do you mean on the tops of the carbs at the rear behind the metal lids that house the rubber diaphrams?
I will have a good look again in the morning.
The hunt is on!.
cheers for that,
Pat.
