sup guys?

i was able to pick up a really cheap cbr the other day. the drawback is that it's missing a couple of parts. cdi, starter, and fuel pump.

i saw a lot of parts from ebay but not for the 90 model cbr.

my question is, can i buy like a f2-f4 model parts and put it in the f model? i tried googling this question and i found out that f2-f3 can swap. did not say specifically f.

help me out guys. i want this bike to run soon! thanks!

 

the fuel pump should be okay. the cdi most likely not. and the starter i am not sure. you may want to cross reference that part on Ron Ayers fiche.

 

1990 used a one year only CDI. they had a single pulse generator instead of two. you have to find a CDI from a 1990.
you will need a starter from any year F1.
the fuel pump should work, might just have to make your own electrical connector.

would it be better if i just upgrade the pulse generator to something else?

i got the starter and pump going. but for some reason my starter relay went out/broke.

can i use any starter relay from any cbr?
