I"m not sure I'd consider the "sensitive areas" looking sunburned as "normal" for the bike. I have no better advice to give than check the battery, because I cannot think of anything else in that area that would produce heat. A short to the frame maybe?

uhm, the voltage regulator is directly underneath the seat. it does get HOT. my seat gets warm, and i can feel it in my "sensitive areas" when i ride.

guys, wrong area. yes, r/r gets hot but that is not anywhere near lower legs, knee, and lower thigh.

if ivy is not running bodywork, then heat would be coming from engine and frame especially given our socal weather. wild fires do not help either.

By combining this:

I automatically questioned the seat area. Sorry

I think the heat burning is coming off the fuel tank, that is always my problem spot. there is no doubt heat everywhere from the engine and onto the frame, seat, battery, r/r, and fuel tank, but i think what is converting the heat from bike to rider is the fuel tank. i've never visually checked myself after a ride, so i cant say if its sunburn equivalent, but I know it is hot to the touch. not warm, hot. im assuming im rather red at that time too. cheap birth control....haha.

I know the 08 1KRR has had issues with the fuel boiling.
