After 4600 km's I have used 1.2 Litres of oil. I'm not used to have to check and pour in a 1 dl or 2 every third gas filling, but this may still be OK for the CBR. It doesn't smoke or leave oil on the plugs.

What consumtion do you consider will be normal and when is the time to renovate?

I had the same problem earlier. I changed oil to semisynthetic 10/40, drove 1000 km and changed it again. This was my own system but it helped. Maybe there was some uncleaness and it came out.

Still: hard accelerations, large weight and high speed uses oil. Not very bad mount. And line between low and high is 1/2 litres, so...don't try to keep the oil line in max line.
