Here's a little inspiration for your next project, Dennis. Someone posted this to a FB group I follow.

That's a pretty cool trike. Don't see many CBR's.

The trike project is a ways off because I have to get the RR done, then the Norton and then the Hurricane restoration.

Plus I bought this little gem over the weekend on Ebay.

It's an old scoot that has a lot of potential because of the frame type...lends itself to an more up to date chop.

I have 10 cycles now.

It's been a while since I posted to this thread. As most know I was dealing with health issues...finally back on my feet and actually rode my motorcycles this past week.

I've been working very hard on getting the shop together so I can have a place to really work on my bikes.

Here are some pictures of the progress so far.

The first two pictures are of the parts room. I actually have more shelves and stuff in there than what is shown. There are some Hurricane parts in there already.

The next picture is looking into the main shop from the machine shop. There is a lot of space in this place and it is heated and air conditioned so I can work all year round. I am just ready to put new underlayment on the floor and then flooring.

I'm hoping to be able to start bringing bikes in soon. The CBR is begging me to finish it.

The shop is coming along well. I put new underlayment on the floors and added a nice build in tool cabinet.

Thought I should post this picture here since this is the build thread and lots of people just go to the end of threads to see the results.

Bike is very closed to being finished.

I hope so. Been so dang busy the past few months and picked up a couple of project bikes that I want to turn in the spring. I will plug away at it, and hopefully finish it over the winter. Not much left to do...main thing is the oil cooler because I need to take the fairing stay off and modify it to fit better. That was the last thing left to fire it up. Some fitting left on the fairings but not much.

I finally got a chance to work on the RR conversion bike. When I stopped just before my surgery I was almost ready to test run it even tho there was other work to be done.

Most of the work is final finish work on lights and wiring. Today I worked on the mount for the R6 lights and an under tail cover.

I think it turned out pretty good.

You certainly could win the "it looks factory" award.

Outstanding work!

And I've been sleeping on this thread for too long (probably due to envy), but what is the status of that 650 Triumph????? Tell me we'll get some more info on it! (even its own thread, maybe?)

Thanks so much for the positive comments. On a long rebuild like this it's really important to get positive feedback to keep the juices flowing.

"It looks factory" is what I have been striving for. It's very hard to achieve. Lots of thinking of what will work and then executing it the best I can.

This bike really looks like a factory bike and it even amazes me to be honest. I have so many ideas for the next one, but have two stock Hurricanes I want to do first.

The Triumph is all apart right now. I tore the engine down because it was frozen and have everything ready to reassemble but it's on the back burner. My Norton is ahead of it.

I may at some point put the Triumph and the Norton in the workspace so I can work on them both. The Norton is in there right now.

I've been trying to keep the work spaces open so there is room to work but wish I could get the Triumph in there.

Not sure the Triumph is appropriate for a CBR Forum.

Here's a couple of pictures of it. I fitted fender mounts and new rear fender and tank prior to tearing completely down. Going for a "New Retro" look on it.

Here is the cylinder and head all ready to go on the engine. I have new pistons and rings and lower bearings for it.

All of the engine parts are polished and ready to go. Not the best picture sorry.

Wish there we a couple of me so I could get all my projects done...
