worlds fastest
He didn't really go that fast, that means with the gearing, the power, and the drag, some math wiz figures it could possably go that fast. And if the Back Bird is so bad, why was it the fastest bike for only 1 year, where the Hayabusa was the fastest for like 7? I'm not defending the 'Busa at all, I hate them too; but still?
The reason it was fastest for only one year is because everyone and thier mother was gunning aganist the zx-11 and as we all know timing is everything!!!!Honda just had a little bit of bad timing I would love to try and see what they could come up with to regain the speedking title
Honda dosn't seem to care about speed or doing anything with bigger bikes. the new 600RR seems to be what they're pouring all their time into. And it paid off, the bike is badass. But they've all but forgotten about their 1000RR. The bike dissapointed me in everythig but the ergos. It feels like a 750 compaired to the K7 Gixxer 1000 or the ZX10. Honda needs to get it's ball rolling again and build some powerful repli-racers.
I saw a DVD recently with a couple of mad blokes from Britain, comparing a Bird, 1000RR and Ducati 998. The bird blew 'em all away in the straights and in the twisty stuff around some gnarly roads in Europe. Awesome, wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it. Same result from all three riders. The RR was the slowest.
Honda can make a good bike when they want too.
I ride an '87 hurricane. It too was the fastest production bike ever made up until that point, 160mph, 0-60 in 3 sec, that's still pretty good figures for 20 year old bike.
I have been looking to get a Bird as well, but the CBR fits like an old shoe, still blows a lot of new bikes away and I can ride it all day without feeling like my ar*e has been hammered by an ironing board.
Still, you gotta love fuel injection.

My first bike was the world's fastest 750 (1979 CB750k) My next bike was the world's fastest 750 (1983 v45 Interceptor). My current bike was the world's fastest (1984 v65 Sabre). My next bike will be the world's fastest (for 1987) in that I'm looking for a CBR 1000f.
I believe it's all relative.........

Performance!............
2007 1k hondas kawis and zukes would pull ahead slightly below 100 for a little while but never took long to run them down. Always ran side by side with stock busa's from any speed to the limiter in 6th, never had a zx12 keep up. This past year the new zx14's were the first stock bikes to pull away from me. I traded the XX on a new 07 st1300 a few months back and love it.....
Your comments are laughable. Obviously you either know little about the ZX-12R, or you're simply full of $hit. The Blackbird just barely outruns the ZX-11..and when I say "barely", I'm talking 2 to 3 mph. No major accomplishment there.
Simply put, a ZX-12R would/will destroy a Blackbird. BTW, I've owned (and loved) both!
Here you go..watch and learn. Jump in around the 6:00 min mark.

anyone can twist it flat out on a straight,,,
you all must throw out tyres with the sides like new the way your talkin.
find a back road and keep it pinned and forget about top end speed, and lets put this to bed. lol
