I purchased a set and I'm very happy with them, they were easy to install,I like the way they look, they lock, and the mounts don't stand out with the bags removed. My bird is black and so are the mounts. I think I would paint the mounts to match the color of the bike if my bike was a differert color and I did not always have the bags on. Ron
