Default Hurricane 1000 pannier pics anybody?

Does anyone have pics of original OEM Hurricane 1000 panniers to share? I was told that soft sided panniers were available as accesories from Honda dealerships back in the day...is that true?

I just recently picked up a 9,000 original mile '88 Hurricane 1000 and would like to do some longer distance rides but need a place for gear and such.

Thanks

I think you'll have more luck finding rocking horse ****........
Having said that, Honda did make panniers (I have some pannier inners) but you'd be better off looking at Givi or Nonfango boxes for your bike. Many of the guys have soft panniers - I did too, but now have the hard boxes.....
I have 3x48L Nonfango's for mine - carries a LOAD of stuff, no problem.

Thanks for sharing the info and the pic. I really like the slim width of your bags as compared to some of the other more bulbous bags out there.

I just got a set of soft bags by Nelson Rigg (CL-1000). I was a little hesitant, but they fit great. They cost me $62 from moto superstore on closeout and they hold a good bit of stuff. I can take a pic later if you like, but they look like this:

Hi. Thanks for the video. Question for you. What hardware did you use to mount the bags?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like he has LED lights shining down on his plate that makes it look a little different.

Default Panniers

Those on my '91 came with it when purchased used. I'm not sure they were intended for the bike, but the attaching hardware mounted as if it were intended for this bike. Pretty clunky looking, but they get the job done.

If Montana Matt is still commuting down US 2 he should recognize the scene, it's somewhere west of Cut Bank.
