Don't like the Yoshimura RS3
I bought my blackbird a couple months ago. I have only been riding it locally on short distances until yesterday. It has a Carbon Fiber Yoshimura RS3 exhaust. It sounds nice, but yesterday, I drove it for about 250 miles in the interstate. I didn't realize how loud it was until I got home. My ears were ringing, the right side much more than the left. Took a few hours to go away.
Is this normal for an exhaust like this?
Are undertails better at keeping the noise to the rider down?

I don't know much about exhausts (not bike brands anyway) but the one I have is that same 4-2-1 configuration. I don't know if the Two Bros is a lot louder than the Yoshi. I don't even know what is considered loud for bikes (Harleys and straight-pipes excluded). It didn't seem loud when compared to my car with the factory cans and no cats. Could be that the noise issue was compounded by the wind noise across the helmet. I got a new taller screen since then and when I get behind it, things seem a LOT quieter.
I have pics of my blackbird but the image size is too big. How can I show you guys. I also have them on an AOL profile...its under the screen name bowlofdumbass....yes i know what your thinking but its a saying I use on people. I just purchased a CBR1000rr and also put a Jardine race baffle muffler on it. Mind you this is just a slip on, and its louder than my two brothers full system on my blackbird. Well take care
