Default blackbird riders!!!

you all might be byast but i'll ask anyway, looking at either a blackbird or a GSXR 05 or 06 model. i drive a 96 hurricane 1000f right now and have no problems, but looking for more bikes in the garage if you know what i mean.just looking for something with a bit more zip around town as i put most most of my miles riding to and from work.

"Might" be biased? I'm afraid you're asking the wrong group of people, anyone who's ever owned a 'bird will defend it to the death! It's all things to all riders, and having worked my way up from scooters, to 600's to this, I can't see me ever coming back down. Fast without feeling scary, comfy, handles great, good tank range, excellent build quality. Buy the 'bird, buy the 'bird!!!!!!!!!!!

KDJACK25 I have a '93 1000F and I bought a '02 XX and love it . This machine will not dissappoint you clean crisp throttle responce agile handling and the speed is incredible. I took my 93 up to 155 a few times and it took a while to get there.not the BIRD holy S I was up to 165 in fifth doing like 8 grand on the tach and realized I had 2 g's to go and a whole other gear. I ran out of room on the highway quick. You would not doubt love it too.

sounds good , any preferance in the years of the bird? any little problems they fixed after a certain year? i've heard about regulator rectifiers being an issue in the early ones.

The GSX R is several generations newer than the Bird. The Bird is a bettergeneral purpose bike, but the GSX R is far better handlingfor active driving. The GSX R is also more ready from the beginning reagarding power, it has a far better power to weigth ratio.

Personally I have both bikes, a GSX R 1000 -03 for track driving and the Bird as a commuter and a bit on track to. I have often thought to get rid of them and buy one bike, but can not find a bike that fills both purposes well enough.

You shouldperhaps also look at the Hayabusa, they are strong and handles very well.
