I just bought the RS5 race version without the silent insert and was told that now they sell it seperate.. Does it have a low deep noise with it inserted or does it sound crap? Thinking of buying it to slighlty lower the db level but also heard that a pcIII can sometimes do the trick..Anyone experienced this with a pcIII or anyone with a Yoshi that removed the silencer cause it sounded like @#$%

Makes it sound like a stock exhaust (justa little bit louder , not much)

 

+1. A little louder and deeper than stock.

I don't think that the PCIII will make a noticable difference in how loud a pipe is. Honestly, I don't think it would make any difference at all.

 

my bike came with my yosh rs-5 carbon fiber and it has an insert that makes the end of the cone split into 2 outlets is that the silencer you are talking about? It has a screw inside the tip I can't get to unless the cone tip comes off. Anyway mine is pretty quiet.
