Winter gear?
I am either blind or there isn't a real good spot to post this...? So I figured I'd ask my fellow Liter Bros.
What do you all wear for cold weather riding? I should be able to ride all year here in Texas and it's gotten to be a little too cold for just the jacket and jeans. I'm good with the jacket but curious what you all wear for pants and gloves. I'm gussing most people probably go with the over-the-jeans textile pants for comfort and price vs. leather? Gloves are another issue...anybody have a good set of warm gloves that are still comfy? I have tons of snowmobile gear but for the most part it's bulkier as it's made for much colder weather and the snowpants aren't slim enough for a bike and the gloves don't off as much freedom of movement as I'd like.
What brand and what do you wear?
Thanks!

There's a Riding Gear section where the subject has been touched on. Here in Philly I layer up until the white chit starts falling from the sky. Last year I simply put a set of thermals on under my regular gear and did alright. This year I picked up some Under Armor Coldgear.
Gloves are a bit different. There are some heated gloves on the market that some guys run with. I don't have any experience with them tho. What also helps a bit is surgical gloves under your normal gloves.

I wear a very thing 800 gram insulation glove under my moto glove if its under 45 degrees. They are made for hunting (ha or i guess just staying warm!!) And my textile pants have a very warm insulator also. No issues there, just wear long wool socks for your ankles. Underarmor styled turtle neck and some of my friends wear those face shields.
I have a pair of Icon merc gloves that I wear a silk/thermolite glove liner with.
Pants are textile riding pants with rain liner in over my jeans. My Dad uses a Snowmobile suit or PVC Rain pants. Socks are same that I use for backpacking in winter(merino wool). Don't forget a Balaclava it makes all the difference in the world.

I ride to work a lot, so I have to wear street clothes. I recently got a field sheer cyclone suit . It is awsome, been down to 32 degrees so far and been nice and cozy. I would recomend it cuz you can step in and out of it in about a minute, and it is fully armoured. works for any kinda riding,it has plenty of zippered vents, and a full liner that zips out. but I will probably stick to just 50 or below for wearing it.

+1 on the surgical gloves and balaclava. Generally on my body I wear thermals and jeans (2 pair if its real cold; here in michigan sometimes it can be sub freezing temps before there is ice on the roads). thermal shirt as well and sometimes a bigger pair of work gloves over the latex and first pair of gloves (mechanix if im wearing three pait like that) Sometimes I'll even pull the pads out of one of my textile jackets and wear it and it's liner under a leather without the liner.
Heated grips are also awesome!
