Default Whats it worth?

Hey guys, new to the site and hoping to pick up a repsol edition for the summer.
I found one for sale in my area and was hoping you guys could tell me how much its worth.

2005 CBR1000rr Repsol edition
~7500 km on it
couple aftermarket upgrades like lights, exhaust.

What would it be worth?

Thanks!

KK

KBB suggests $6,400 in excellent condition (no extras).

Pricing can also be a result of availability in a particular area as well.

Actually, i was looking at the wrong ad, this one has 21,000 km on it...seems like a lot to me. what is the average per year?

Also this is asking for $7000 and its the cheapest one within 600km of my area.

21 km = 13k. For a 7 yr old bike, 13k isn't a lot of mi if taken care of.

$7K may be a fair asking price for your area, especially if you're not in the U.S.

Does this particular bike have any extras?

Hmm..ok so its sill within reason... it has a yoshi exhaust, flush mount signals, adjustable levers, alarm system, new tires, new stator...Not sure what all of that is worth, and he said its in mint condition.

Iv always loved the repsol edition and i would love to own one, but as long as everything is within reason. the $7000 is in Canadian btw.

So you think its a fair deal?

Thanks!

that sounds like a good deal. but you could probably get him down to $6500. if i was buying i would start off at $6000 and work my way up. i just bought a 07 cbr 600rr. the guy wanted $7500 for it and i talked him down to $5000. it was all stock, ment condition, and only had 1600 miles on it. so go with your heart and what you want to put into it. good luck with it and i hope you can get it.

Do you have the equivalent of KBB in Canada for values of vehicles/motorcycles in Canada?

The closest thing I could find is CBBTrader.com (Canadian Blue Book) w/ this value for the bike you are asking about... Vehicle Retail Values. It lists lower values than the U.S. version.

Canadian dollars vs U.S. are close. Either in Canadian or U.S. dollars, $7K seems to be a little on the high end. Again tho, availability (or lack thereof) in any region will have an effect on increasing the pricing. If you really want this bike & if it indeed is in "mint" condition (including all maintenance records)...you may want to consider that increased price dif as the opportunity cost. That is to say, that the opportunity to own this particular bike will cost you - what it costs you - above what you might pay elsewhere given the time to find a similar condition matching bike. Its really up to you to verify the condition of the bike & make that decision as to whether or not you want to pay that opportunity cost to own this particular model in this particular condition.

Hope I've helped some.

here is a link and it is showing the same price as you have found. this is for a normal stock bike.

2005 Honda CBR1000RR5 REPSOL EDITION - 998cc Standard Equipment, Prices & Specs - NADAguides

i wouldnt pay retail for this bike. mayb try and talk him into selling it for about $5000. but as i said before. you have to think how much it is worth to you and how much money you want to put into it. i hope this helps out for you. good luck.
