What is a Fireblade?
The European/Australian, basically everywhere else but North America 1000RR, 954RR, 929RR and 900RR's. The liter class RR's with a fancy name tagged on the end. Same bikes as here in the states.
In addition to what was earlier said, it's my understand the name doesn't cross the Atlantic because of Insurance companies in the USA. I don't know how true this may be, but I was told that using name associated with motorcycles could like to misconceptions and ultimately higher premiums. Names like Fireblade, Thunderace, Thundercat, etc all lead USA insurance companies to stereotype and label this machines 'very fast', thus offer higher insurance rates.
