what is the indicator lamp for on the left side of the tach on a fireblade?US bikes have the right side rev indicator lamp. but i have seen a couple shiots of firblades that have two indicators. just curious.

 

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's for the H.I.S.S. system. I've noticed that before too.

 

HISS what the heck is that? HESD maybe? That's what I think it is

 

My US 04 CBR1000RR only has the right side shift indicator light. The HESD is not on the tach it is in the speedometer display. On mine at least.

Mine isa 2006'CBR 1000rr Fireblade and it is the H.I.S.S warning light that you are talking about I think... its on the other side of theshift light...

So anyone who even thinks of stealing my baby....it wont even be worth it....cause without the original key with the hiss chip...the engine managment, ignition module,is worthless...there is NO WAY around it..even if ME the original owner was too lose the key I would be stuffed....

 

The Fireblades have a HISS system which is a type of security system for the bike.



Dwhite is correct, there is an additional indicator lamp/light on the fireblades for the HISS system.
