Default **UPDATE on STOLEN SAN DIEGO BIKE**

I just realized my bike key is missing from the rest of my key ring which means.............I friggin left it in the seat lock after securing my disc lock. What an IDIOT I am!

I might as well have hung a sign on it saying "FREE BIKE HERE....PLEASE STEAL ME"

The ONLY positive I see outta this is that the chances of recovering the bike NOW go up substantially. Perhaps the asswipe just could not resist a free joyride. What do you guys think?

BTW........It's a BLU/Ylw 06 with blue wheels, ylw rim tape and an Oregon plate

I think your insurance company is gonna give you a hard time if you tell them that little nugget of information . . . .

One HUGE problem i see with this is that the insurance company will ask you for the key(s). After a claim, youturn over the title and ownership of the bike. Without the key the insurance company will have no point in taking ownership of the bike. Therefore not settling on your claim. They do this because incase the bike is recovered in the future they can still salvage it at an auction.

As for the joyride part....FORGET it man! That bike was broken down and sold for parts before you even realized it was gone! Theives don't want to hold on to evidence so they get rid of it as fast as they can for cash!!! Use better common sense next time.
