I just realized my bike key is missing from the rest of my key ring which means.............I friggin left it in the seat lock after securing my disc lock. What an IDIOT I am!

I might as well have hung a sign on it saying "FREE BIKE HERE....PLEASE STEAL ME"

The ONLY positive I see outta this is that the chances of recovering the bike NOW go up substantially. Perhaps the asswipe just could not resist a free joyride. What do you guys think?

BTW........It's a BLU/Ylw 06 with blue wheels, ylw rim tape and an Oregon plate

I know on car insurance with a vehicle stolen while keys are left in the vehicle is considered "theft with owner help" or something. They dont have to cover it.

 

Your Honda dealer should be able to cut you a key to match your spare (if you possess it). I would give that some thought in case the ins company asks to see the keys. You didn't do anything wrong and you deserve to be compensated if the bike doesn't turn up.
