I have a 05 cbr rr 1000 I was clocked at 178mph. Could this be right? I was at redline but damn My bike was reading 182mph? They both seam high.

Sorry.... didn't mean to hijack the thread. When you said "clocked" I pictured the po-po nailing you good.

 

Is that with or without a Speedohealer or likewise product installed? Supposedly there is up to a 10% speedometer deviation factory installed and it gets worse with sprocket upgrades.

 

I have not made any mods to the speedo Just set up for top speed At the sports center here in Amarillo. I got 148 to the ground with out the 60 shoot of nos. Ther was a ZX1400 that was set up like my bike ran 199.9

 

Yep, very possible. My 04 CBR 1000 R ran 304km/h which is 188.89 mph on GPS before I changed my sprockets to 15 front and 42 back for more acceleration on the track.

 

i think 178 is a few mph high. we ran my buddies 06 on gps today and it ran 176mph and that was at 12k rpm. the 05 doesnt run up to that rpm..

 

if any one is near me i have radar and laser so we can get you true top speed. Just let me know

 

We ran on the open road to day I was Radared at 178 for the second time by two guns and they were just reset for this race. I got 3rd in my class. But I think The bikes sould have to be stock for the stock class the 2 that beat me had mods my bike was just tunned up. It is totaly stock not one thing is changed at all.
