steering problems, please help!

There is another way to check it.If you believe that the problem coming from steering damper disconnect it, not the part on the fuel tank, the other one.You will not have any problems with indicators lights F1 e.t.c.
I use my bike like this 3 months now.
Then make your try again.If you see that you have the same problem then you will be soor that the damper is not the reason..If the problem will dissapier theN YOU WAS RIGHT
You need 15 minutes to disconnect it...

I just want to post that I took my bike in to the shop and had it checked out and come to find out you guys that were talking about "cupping"....thats exactly waht was going on with my bike....however when I looked at my front tire to me it looked pretty good (to my untrained eye) but he seen it right off the bat plus he checked my HESD and my head bearings and it was all good....so going to get some new tires, I'm going with the michelin pilot power 2ct's hope this solves my problem!

I had a simular problem with my 06 right out of the box. It was the fork settings, somehow each fork was on a different setting. After I corrected this all the shimmy went away.

This is good new.
I will say to you to try Bridgestone BT 0-16 it's super stable and keep more than any other tyre which i try....
