Hey Everybody,
So after all your information i finally bought my cbr1000. It's a new Silver 07 CBR1K. I got it for 10,500 and that includes TT+L. I went ahead and got extended warranty which cost another 1.2g.
Right now the bike is stashed in my friends warehouse under lock and key (my mother will never know of its existance.)

 

I would like to say that for the most part im a new rider to sport bikes. Yes the cbr1k is my first sportbike. However i understand the dangers of riding and WILL NOT push myself or my bike because i know i do not yet have the skill neccesary to safely ride this bike at medium-high speed.

 

Sorry for all the posts, but if my text string is too long i get error messages when trying to post. But to continue, I plan on taking it really really slow. In fact the bike is stashed in LA while im in SD. ill spend my weekends riding around the local streets with little traffic to slowly get use to it before i plan on taking it out on the highway.

 

I have nothing but fear and respect for this bike, she is beautiful and i do not plan on endangering either one of us under any circumstances. Ill be riding with close friends that have always valued safety first and i do not plan on being some squid that does something stupid in the first month. I know i should have started on a 600 but it was love at first sight. I named her Leucosia, btw.

holy **** dude they took you on that warranty..


they are always willing to negotiate the price of that because 90% of bikes they sell a warranty to gets wrecked and they keep the money.


I got a 5 year unlimited mile warrnaty on both my f4i and 1000RR for 500 bucks each.

 

oh and on a side note TAKE THE MSF course. If I would have had a 1000RR as my first bike I would be dead. I know it for a fact.

 

i am taking the MSF course. My class date is august 4th, and two riding days are the weekend of. scheduled that in a month ago
