I have a 2006 1krr and it has had the first 600 miles service....does anyone know when the next time it needs to go in??? Also, when my bike is in neutral and I put it in first it jumps real hard.....is this common??? thanks

 

i just got my bike 1000rr 06 .. a couple months ago and it has 150 miles on it .. since the first day i got it does the same thing when i shift to the first gear from neutral it jumbs hard i thou i was the only one .. .????? i hope its common cuz it will **** me off to have problem with a brand new bike.

 

i find if your rolling a little bit, it doesnt do it as bad...have you asked the dealership about it yet

 

i just called the dealership and the service manager told me it was completely normal for it to jump a little......so your cool

 

My 06 does it too.

Look in the owners guide, It should have a log and a schedule for maint.

 

im glad the jump is normal mine does it to pretty hard but i have 3500 miles on my bike never did the 600 oil change

 

The next service after the initial 600 is at 4,000 miles.

 

Make sure your idle is set properly, and as low as possible. The lower it is the less clunk you'll get.

 

So what is the proper idle? i think mine is running a little too high and it makes the temp to be around 180 and nothing less than 177.

 

That temp is normal . Idle should be 1200-1300 rpms. I stick closer to 11. It has to be adjusted a lot too. Thought it was just my bike at first, but have seen/heard it from other.
