The only service bulletin for 06 CBR 1000s is the radiator fan inspection. They check the clearance between the radiator fan to the radiator to make sure there is the correct amount of space.

Speaking of recalls, my buddies 06 1000rr has 4500 mi and the rotors are warped. Really bad. His clutch is slipping with regular acceleration too. I looked at the bike myself an could not believe it! therear tire looks brand new! The guy babies this bike, changes oil at 2000 mi and really cares for it. He does not wheelie it, race it oranything like that. Just has a bad *** 1krr to ride around town on.Anyone else have similar problems? He went to order new rotors thru Honda and the stock rotors were on backorder so he spent 700 on a set of some wave rotors hoping they will not warp. . .

maybe he babies it too much, if he slips the clutch too much it will wear out faster

honda.com will tell you about recalls if you log into the honda riders webpage.

Find out what oil he is using and make sure it is not that energy conserving oil or make sure it does not have moly in it. As far as the rotors are they discolored? Maybe something is dragging. Or maybe he is accidently ridng the brakes.

+1 on wrong oil.......also if he sits in heavy traffic all the time with the clutch pulled in instead of kicking it into neutral wouldnt help matters any......
