Question with a predictable answer.....

RE: Question with a predictable answer.....
I just bought a 2006 CRB1000rr and got a great deal on it - $8k - brand new. I just totally love this bike! The power is incredible. No matter what gear you are in, there is power all the time. The low end is very nice and it is very managable. I came off of a CBR600 which was handling very nice, but compared to the 1000, I like the 1000 better. It holds the line through the corners and it's flickable. Also, the electronic steering stablizer makes the bike very stable. The hydrolic clutch feels smooth when you are shifting. I don't know how the bike would work for commuting or freeway riding because most of the riding I do is in the canyons. Anyways, those are my thoughts about the bike. Good luck with whatever you decide!

RE: Question with a predictable answer.....
GSXR's are always peakier power wise. Where the CBR1000 feels like it has a big electric motor that just keeps pulling harder, with GSXR you feel the peaks and valleys in the rev range.
One thing about Hondas is that the are much sturdier built (crashworthy). I've seen guys total GSXRs by knocking them over in the drive way and breaking frame tabs. I love a well sorted GSXR at the track, but the ones I want to own have a wing on them.

RE: Question with a predictable answer.....
I have ridden the 750 a few times, and I personally didnt care for it. It felt like there was no tank it was so skinny, and even those it has a damper and all, it felt as if the front liked to vibrate and wonder a little (that may be due to me not being used to the bike or thats just the way it is). The stats you were comparing before were all 2006's. Compare the 07 models to it. There will be a less of a gap in HP an TQ.
Also, Suzuki SUCKS at warranting their bikes. My buddies Busa had a tranny go out and would not warranty it and the same thing happened to my other buddies 2006 Busa LE (NOT VERY COOL considering $1400 fix). Anything with the tranny or power parts, they blame it on stupid crap like you were speed shifting, shifting w/o a clutch, etc, even though you may not be, like in my instance. But they still dont care. They dont honor it. Thats also something to think about.
I am not saying the 750 isnt good, so dont get me wrong. I dont like it for my feel at all though. Its a sharp bike, but with the way Suzuki handles there customers, I will never buy anything of theirs.
