Default Qouple of questions

Is the 1000rr just as fast as a 600rr in the turns? of course its faster in the straight but its got a bigger wheelbase and 30+ lbs more then the 6. would buying a 1000rr be a bad idea if you wanted to do track days? does 30 lbs and a couple of inches in wheelbase really make a 1000 slugish compared of course to a 600rr. thx

It all depends on the rider.

The 600RR feels more "flickable" in the corners. The 1000RR's can seem overpowered on smaller tracks. There's a couple of videos of stock 600RR's keeping right up with R1's and GSX-R 1000's on the track. So far, everyone I've gone to the track with along with dozens of others guys already at the track perfer the 600cc bikes because they are more controllable on our track. But it comes down to preference and rider ability.
