I have the blue and yellow 06 cbr 1000. I want to get rid of the yellow and make it black, do you guys have any ideas?

 

I dont think u should paint it cause that yellow n blue is sick but to each there own. if u want it done right...take it to a pro. other wise tape off the blue n get some spray paint n go to town

 

don't touch the pretty plastics
if i were ya i'd save up & paint the rims yellow

 

Your gonna have to paint the front faring and the tank. The front faring is painted yellow, and the tank has clearcoat over the sickers. The rest will come of easy with a hair dryer and some time. Make sure to have so goof off handy.

 

thanks, i guess i will leave it for right now. i will worry about that later. i havent seen too many blue and yellow bikes on the road.

 

Good choice, hopefully you won't they didn't keep the color for the 07's.

 

that would be a good reason to keep the colors you will have something very differant i have one get lots of looks

 

the blue/yellow scheme is gone
as is the all black one

 

dont worry about the color scheme.. the blue/yellow is such an eye catcher to everyone and i live in a city with 2.1mill people and i havent seen another blue/yellow 1000 yet (except in the show-room). Just get your rims powdercoated blue or yellow and the bike will pop out even more (yellow looks better IMO)..

save your money for Power commander, speed-o-healer, frame sliders, exhaust (which you got already), etc etc -

1.) safety first → 2.) performance → 3.) looks

 

Just use the money for aftermarket goodie's.
