Oil Fill Quantity???
What up fellas? Gonna be getting my 1000RR tonight, was wondereing if any one knows the oil fill quantity for my bike, I dont have a manual yet butjust wanted some fresh blood in the new wipp, Its a sweet bike, has cams and injectors, not sure what kind, gettin a spec sheet with the bike, also Two Bros exhaust with adjustable footpegs and under tail kit,its all black and mint condition. I did a search and no dice, how bout this, anyone know how many ml's stamped on the side of the clutch cover? 3000, 3500 anyone? I just need to know so I will know how many quarts to pic up at the bike shop, it turns out I'm picking up the bike tommorrow night so it's not here in the garage to look at.....

You have a window to view the oil level on the RT side of the bike. Fill the bike, when it's off the kickstand level with the ground, until the oil level is towards the upper dash mark next to the view window. There are upper and lower level dashes. You should need more than three quarts, but since I don't know the exact number, you need to add, look... add, look... until you get it right. Take a minute or three to let he oil come down after adding it.

Yeah, I normally putjust a little less than half of the 4th quart in my 06 1000rr.That brings it just under the top line on thesiteguage. With the oil for these things being so expensive, its good that it doesn't take 4 full quarts. That way, I only have to buy 3 quarts on some oil changes.
