i belive you can find the service manual to down load here and with that you will have no problem.

Fibreglass it..it will look as new! See my photo album..the plastics are all refibred after I flipped doing a wheelie!! Provided the body shop can do a good job..
From the outside..all smooth and new. Only from the inside you can see the ugly fibre patch and stuff..

Fiberglass isnt hard, and like blade17 you cant tell from the outside. Just be patient, read the directions, get some sandpaper and take your time with it. You will probably surprise yourself on how good you can do if you just try!
For all things you must learn by doing them, you learn by doing them.

Who is Brad? I will try and call him too. Maybe what I will do is take a piece and try it myself and see what it looks like. I did it on one of my old Gixxers years ago and it came out half way decent. 60 degree here in NH today. Gonna take the V-Rod over to take a look at it again. The person selling is a friend of mine whom never even registered it.

It rained hard last night so it washed the little salt we had on the road away.
