Default new member needs help

i just bought a new 2007 cbr 1000 about a monh ago and it just reached a thousand miles. besides that i was driving tonight and all of a sudden the left handle bar (clucth side) felt loose it bothered me for about a min. when all of sudden the left handle bar slid completley down while I was driving, i was able to control myself nothing happened but I dont know what to do now. I'm not doubting the quality of honda I'm still loving the bike but should I take it to the dealership and have them fix it or should i simply tighten it myself??? I had the dealership lower my bike with lowering a couple of weeks ago but i don't know if they would have had to loosen my handle bars.

May wanna take it back and have then do a very thoroughonce over on it.
They should do it for free and give you priority over other scheduled maintenance.
That is aserious safety issue and they prolly will want resolved ASAP.
Nothing worse for a dealer than bad news like that getting out.
Most likley somethin they did (or did not do)at the dealer or the factory.
I would speak to the manager and they should set you up.

All it is is a bolt on the clip on. It need to be tightened. It isnt the integrity of the bikes, its who is working on them

Thats a **** job front where you bought it... They have to assemble some of the bike out the box. Double check all the bolts to be on the safe side.. Use a torque wrench.
