RE: NEED A STAND???
ORIGINAL: CBR1000RRMARINE
At CYCLE GEAR, I bought a Vortex rear stand that utilizes both spools and swingarm. Coverts to both. So if you have spools and your working on your buddies bike who doesnt you can still use that stand. I paid 120.00 for mine. I dont think it was that bad.

Spend the extra money for the front stand and get a pinned stand for the stearing head. It allow more flexibility for working on the front end than fork stands.

I think Pit bulls are high quality, but they seem to be on the expensive side. Handy Stands have reasonable prices.

RE: NEED A STAND???
if i need to lift the rear tire pit bull
dont skimp on the thing that is going to be holding your bike up while you work on it
for the front
i have the pit bull front stand as well as a triple clamp stand as well as a baxley sport chock
that is what i use the most
just pull the bike onto the baxley and it locks itself down
no need for any other support at that point unless you need to rotate the rear tire

RE: NEED A STAND???
Pit-Bull all the way!
great company, great product
I've got two sets of pit-bull stands now, have two bikes that are on the stand 24/7 when not being ridden and have never had a single issue
they've helped me out several times, going above and beyond
I've heard vortex just copied the pit bull stands but used 4 wheels and added the axle holder (and btw pit bull sells an axle holder attachment for like $5 so that shouldn't be a deal breaker)
only other i'd suggest is woodcraft, Eric Wood is an awesome guy and like Charlie @ Pit-Bull he's been known to go the extra mile to make sure his products and cust service is top notch
