Default Miles per Gallon?

I am not sure if tank was full but damn close to it.went 36 miles Rockland County to the Bronx and my gas light came on.Took just over 3 gallons to top off.I have posted in the past that there are times I dont feel lucky and will not take the bike out. This day was not one of them.

WOW!!! No, really, WOW!!

Doesn't look like a mileage issue to me. Something else has to be wrong IMO.

Where's your spare key? Would someone you know siphon gas out of it to screw with you, 'cause your "mileage" is nutz.

Of the thirty six miles most of it was over 100mph.Few times hitting 145.I know faster speeds eat up more gas.But would it bring it down to almost 12 miles per gallon

It's just not... going over 100mph is not gonna burn 3 times the fuel. You have a problem somewhere, my friend... and it's not only speeding

Bike is fine and I always make a habit of filling tank after every ride even if its a quick ride around town I refuel. Its a habit I got into after running out of fuel once while toying with a guy in a Mustang. It was back in 1989 and I was driving GXR 1100 different bike but same Idea you going to play make sure you have the fuel. What I must have done with the CBR 1000 is thouht I refuelled when in fact I hadn't.Thanks Old Fat Guy....
