Default Looks like a done deal.

Well it looks like a done deal on a black 06 model, I would say I got an ok deal, not the best but I don't think I got screwed. 11,200 OTD including 6% tax, so that makes the bike 10,500 plus the tax roughly. The 4 year service was quoted at adding 570, might not be a bad idea, this bike has alot of high dollar stuff on it, hell I think the steering dampener alone is supposed to be like 2500 bucks..eek. I don't think I would have been able to get this deal had it not been for the gentleman in one of the threads who posted the invoice data, a 6 pack to you if ever in Wyomig. Southern powersports was not really an option, did not feel like driving 1500 miles, the gas alone would have been 500 bucks in my truck, effectively breaking even overall. The local dealer whom I will never deal with for a few reasons actually has a black 06 on the floor..complete with 27 miles of what appears to be joy riding (already center stripe on rear tire), alot of scratches on gas tank visible from ten feet away and a chain that is dangerously loose, and they had the nerve to quote a setup fee.

$11,200 otd is a very good price (in my opinion.) this time of year is a very bad time to buy a new bike because the new models just came out and the weather is changing and everyone gets "bike fever". getting out the door for the original msrp is about the best that you can expect. especially since the cbr1k was redesigned for this year. and i would DEFINATELY get the extended warranty. $570 is cheap piece of mind for 4 years of worry free riding. enjoy the new bike. black is definately the color to get!

Considering fuel expense to TN I'd say you got a good deal. The warranty is obviously up to you but after checking around I found that not many people have had to use it. Remember you can always buy the extended four year warranty near the end of the factory one year warranty.
