Just did the mod yesterday and it made the exhaust a little throater. I found thing I noticed most was the engine noise was louder in the front end. Has anybody had any problems from doing this mod? I think I'll ride a week or two to see if I like it.

I've had my '05 set up this way since APR. Yeah, I have a problem since I did this proceedure: I ride faster just to hear the induction roar. My riding buddy who owns a '04 blk RR says his hands tingle more since doing it. I think he just ***** off more these days, so that's the excuse he's using to justify his slow @$$ self. Otherwise it gives a little pick up in mid-range.

Cheers

The only problem with the flapper mod, BMC filter and 2 Brother pipe is that I cannot hear the Gixxers, R1's or ZX 10's anymore.

I imagine Honda did this for the sole purpose of smogability. This and the dumb exhaust flapper.

It does free up more air into your bike so wouldn't that make your bike run lean? If you are going to do this mod only.... I do not recommend it. Put a slip-on, PCIII and air filter then you change how the bike performs. Now you can consider the flapper. I might be wrong though. I changed the muffler and added the PCIII before doing the flapper so I could not tell you what the difference is with just the flapper mod.
