Insurance pains

RE: Insurance pains
Everyone always says that insurance is the best thing in the world when you need it and the worst when your paying it.
I must say I would be happy to pay for insurance at price some of you are paying, but unfortunately there aren't so many places in Australia that will insure bikes, and the ones that do, will make you pay out the nose for it. I have never had this problem before, I have always bought my bikes outright, it's only because I'm getting a loan that I have to get fully comprehensive insurance — once I get the bike I will cancel my insurance and just wait till next year when I'm 25, I should be able to get a better deal then.
Thanks for the input guys.

WOW....Insurance Prices
I had saw a few postings about insurance either on this board or the 600RR.net msg board. One of the msgs stated they had there insurance through State Farm. I thought since I had my automobile insured through them I would give them a try. [:-] WOW, what a big difference in savings!!
The quote was on the recently acquired '04 F4i that is my wife's. Through Bike-line (Markel Ins) it was going to be $687.00 for one year w/ Comp, Collison and the limits were 50/100/50. The same policy at State Farm is $234.18/yr. I had originally asked the Bike-line represenative why it was to be so high. She told me something about it is a popular big.......Blah, Blah, Blah!!!!
Anyway, thanks to whoever mentioned this and obviously it pays to check around. BTW, the two goldwings and the Triumph TT600 are cheaper through Bike-line. State Farm goes by cc's.

RE: Insurance pains
This is through Geico and is only liability...No Frills!!!! I am 32 with a squeaky clean record and this is the best deal I have been able to find. Only thing that is savin me is I dropped cash for my bikes when I bought them.

Do you pay for full coverage? I am currently with Progressive though USAA. USAA won't write cycles.
ORIGINAL: RepSolRider
I pay $340.00 a year for a 05 Repsol and a 05 CBR 600RR through Geico
