I just got off the phone with my company and they are saying that a CBR (to them) is a high performance bike. They are trying to charge me 750.00 a month becase of this[:'(][sm=boosign.gif]. I was wanting to know what company everyone else is with and how much they are paying.

I'm with NATIONWIDE in NC. I think it's $989 for the year, my wife has the details, but the first company she called wanted like $2,800 for the year. I had no idea there could be such a swing in pricing. I came from NJ and the only provider, that I knew of, was RIDER Ins. and they do consider the SPORTS a high risk proposition. Just keep calling around, by the way I have full-boat coverage for the REPSOL. Good luck!!

the 1000rr is a hi-performance bike so they are right (ain't it funny how a hayabusa 1300cc is considered as a touring bike by most ins cos though ?)
do shop around
talk to those insurance brokers if you have to - take down the ins co names and rates and then call the ins co directly ... 9 times out of 10 the ins co will undercut the broker ;-) but you didnt hear me say that
i'm with State Farm paying a little over $800/yr for full coverage with 25/50, UIM/UMPD and medical disbursement
