Default I'm back! Yes! Some might find gross!

Well lets flash back to this.

Well the injury was alot worse then anyone expected. MRI can back with a 20mm tear to the meniscus. So they scheduled me for surgery. So I went in for surgery on the 20th of December.

This is what I came out with.

Turns out I tore my quadriceps muscle almost totally off. I had 4mm of tissue holding it on. Tore my hamstring. Tore my calf and ruptured my patella tendon. I was walking on it from September 22nd to December 20th when I had surgery. My entire leg was numb because my nerves retracted from the injury.

When I went in for the MRI they only saw the tear in the meniscus because I had a large bakers cyst and a lot of fluid around the joint. Or so they say. So they ended up taking the quad totally off and reattaching in a undamaged location.

So from December 20th to January 20th I was in a straight leg brace. Once that damn thing came off I started working the leg. And I am glad to say I am back on both the Honda and the Harley.

Glad you are able to ride again. It was a powerful motivational tool when I was recovering from shoulder surgery.

Eek! Though I hate to say it, your pain and suffering may just help make us that have none think twice. I constantly wince at the thought.....
Welcome back. So glad your body came through.
Be interested to know the effect on your mind when you get fully back in the saddle.
