How do u turn it up? Anyone?

there is a **** on the left side just about the clutch slave cylinder

clockwise is idle up

Yeah that one !! kinda sticks out right past the fairing on the left side at about knee level!!

what good is it to turn up the idle anyway, ive played around with it befor but never knew that the perpuse was? can someone explain please

The bike is just like a car.... Everyone elevation isn't the same. So the ecu corrects air/fuel for that and about 10 other things. But the idle kinda gets out of wack sometimes.

Plus the maker of the motor has a spec that the idle should be at, so that the motor has the least amont of stress on it with out burning alot of gas.

Just my 2 cents.

So if your bike was idle'n way too slow (800rpm) and almost everytime you left a stop sign it would stall, you wouldn't consider raising the idle some? What if it was idleing @ 2000rpm & everytime you wanted to put it in 1st gear you had to STOMP on the sifter and SMASH it into gear? You wouldn't consider lowering the idle some?

Besides, the stunters that do the no handed slow wheelies, need like 5000rpm+ on idle to keep the bike going without touching the throttle

I can't remember exactly (its in the bike manual) but I believe the Honda recommended idle on the 1000RR is 1200rpm +/- 100.
