Hey guys, I've been riding for a few years now, all kawi, but I'm now looking to get a cbr1000rr now. Looking at either an '04 to '07 which are going for under $6k, or an '08 which are going for under $7k in my area. I don't know much about them though.

What are the differences between these model? pros/cons?
Should i go ahead and save up for an '08?

Any input is appreciated.

probably the most significant 'con' was the oil-burning issue on many of the 08 models.
all of the models are exceptional literbikes, and most people have a preference based on styling.
as with anything, later years will have the more recent technology.
