Default help please

I have a two brothers slip on, but the more I look at it, the more I hate the way it sticks out.
Has anybody here cut their pipe so that the can is more tucked in the bike?
If so how did you do it?
where did you cut it?

I'm working on a new custom undertail but need to do this first just in case the angle changes...
any help will be apreciated.
thanks in advance.

i prefer the aftermarket can to stick way beyond the tail since it prevents the exhaust fumes from fogging up the tail-light
but i know a couple of guys who have shortened the can on their bikes & experienced a slight improvement in torque - you could look up the posts by 1wheelmax on www.1000rr.net for further info

I am in the same boat. It just sucks spending 500 bucks ona pipe and then you wanna hide it after you put it on. I've talked to a few people that have cut thiers down at a machine shop.

Leave it alone! Two Brothers knew exactly what they were doing when they created the can. Cutting an exhaust is "NOT" easy. TRUST ME on this.

There is a guy in Huntington Beach, Ca that does outstanding metal work. I had him cut down one of my exhausts to 12 inches. That is from inlet to outlet. This guy did a perfect job. It honestly looks like it came from the factory. So it can be done, but I would have someone do it professionally so your can doesnt look like ***.

so maybe im just better off leaving it the way it is.
if I have to buy a new one it def won't be a two brothers.
I really love the sound but I wasn't please with hp gains (however I do need a pc III)
guess im just goin to leave it alone and do the undertail anyways.

thanks for all your input fellas really apreciate it.

Happy holidays
