i light oil smell should come from a new exhaust but not smoke.. if you see smoke somethign is in it for sure. if the bike was running fine before the slip on it cant be the motor.. take it apart.. let us know what you find..

 

Hey is that bike of yours still got that nasty habit of smoking?

 

I know this is an old thread but just for future reference or anyone else who reads this. when I installed my new micron on my 929 it didnt smoke, then later I pushed it hard and I had white smoke rolling out of the end for about 20min it went away later that day, MY brand new D&D I had on my ninja shot all kinds of packing into the air when I fired it up haha

 

My fmf slip on came with paper work that said it would smoke the first couple runs- and it was like a little freight train for about 30 minutes- smelled funny too- but has been fine for 6,000 miles since.
