ok so my father was following behind me the other day and said he saw blue smoke when i up shifted or down shifted aggressivly i figure its just running rich for a splitsecond...... the oil level hasnt changed at all and its still nice a clean lookin sooo that kinda made me doubt the blueness of the smoke and i kept askin him sure it wasnt condensation and he said yeah he was pretty sure .......normal or what? any ideas

 

sounds like oil, im having my 600 rebuilt as we speak for excessive oil consumption. keep a close eye on the oil level mine burned up 3 quarts in a day without me realizing it. i was probaly riding all over town smoking everyone out and not realizing it.

 

How many miles do you have on it? What do you do run the SH*T out of it or is that a normal thing on the RR?

 

negative never to hard i only get above 10G's when im some moran is taill gateing me but the down shifts i pretty smooth on.... like i said ive checked the oil level pretty religously and it hasnt changed but ill continue to watch..... bought it around 3800 in mid sept and now i have around 6000 on it......other things it could be dads eyes arent the best and he sometimes i get the feeling he wants this bike to have problems sooooo ive never had anyeone else say anything about it

 

Has the bike ever been down?

 

nope never been "down" looks like it might have fallen over once in a garage a see a small little set of indentions on the clutch case

 

was the bike cold?

 

not that i can think of im not sure if it was at the begging or the trip ill ask him
