Default Helmet lock

I use one of these. It's a great product.

never found a good solution myself, but I think the barender is probably the best one out there. You probably know you can find cobby 'solutions' that involve garish chrome clamps that go on your clip-ons, and were designed more for Harley riders...

I know a lot of touring types like this one because it's easy to get at and not that noticable.

Default rear seat strap bolts

If you have removed the rear seat, and the strap (I assume based upon your question), simply insert the bolts for the strap & tighten halfway. then you can simply remove the cowl and use one of the bolts to hook your helmet on, and put the cowl back on.

any sort of configuration that attempts to hang the bucket from under the cowl won't work - the lip around the tail fits up into a channel under the cowl so that putting anything in between will twist and distort (at best) the cowl.
