This winter i would like to do a full exhaust. Um trying to decide between A full akrapovic, yoshimura or arrow. Akrapovic claims 12hp over stock, yosh only claims 6hp over stock, arrow doesnt give numbers. This is formy 07 cbr1000rr. I plan on bmc filter and pc3. I just want the most out of my money. Akrapovic is 1300$ yosh is 1000$ arrow$? Any advice would be great or dyno numbers.

 

Did the stainless yoshi system on my '06 with pcIII and remap. Made 158hp and 79 ftlbs. I paid $870 for the system but have since seen it for under $800. Didn't do aftermarket air filter cause I was told that removing the one screen on the oem filter would provide sufficient airflow. Now I don't know how true that is but it seems to work fine. Over all it's a very good increase over stock. Oh also did one doen in the front.

 

Thanks. Um just wondering if the extra 400$ more for an akrapovic is worth it other then the name. Um starting to think u just pay for the name. All aftermarket exhausts flow way better then stock and look and sound better. But if u get a custom map dont u think all exhausts would tune near the same? Um talking a horse difference. Idk. anyone else want to chime in and comment?

 

I actually agree with your 2nd post, although i have no proof to back it up. If i were in your spot i would pick the one i like the sound and looks of the best, as i am sure after the mods and a tune they are all going to perform close to the same (within a hp or 2) so sound and looks will be your factors.
