i know that there are not many companies makin anythung for our bkes yet... I even contemplated just cutting through my fairing until i saw that with how the fairing is mounted and where the slidder goes it is nearly impossible, it would get in the way of one of the mounting screws and be on the edge of the plastic..I did however find soe no cutt sliders on ebay they are made by Derlin... i dont know how ggod they are, but they are made for the new 06 1000rr. I would rather have somethin than nothing...cause you never know when you might have a accidental tip over in the garage... the sliders were only like $49 however i did see a set of shogun sliders, sppols and handelbar ends for $122. just go in ebay and search 2006 cbr frame sliders. or something of that sort..

hey i got the shogun frame sliders on my bike. they sit a bit further back then i like but they were a quick install all you have to do is remove the side fairing and the front motor mount. replacement bolts and spacers come with the kit. did not require any cutting or mods to the fairing.

Avoid the Shoguns at all costs. They save you from having to cut plastic, however if you drop the bike on it's right side (even if it's not moving) the slider will jab itself into an elbow that moves water back to the radiator. It will at least bend the elbow if not break it. To repair the elbow requires dropping the engine for repair, which is big time expensive, much more so than new plastic.

I've got an order in for the Lightech no-cut sliders from www.OPPracing.com. They seemed to be a little more robust than the Shoguns and aren't supposed to bend into any engine components if dropped. I'm still doubtful, so I'm anxious to see how they look.

I thought the Lightech no-cuts would be cool too.
Til I bent the right side with my shin.
No, the swelling hasnt gone down after 3weeks.
I bent it back only to find the support bracket is cracked.

I went against my better judgement with the no-cuts and thats what I get.
Pretty expensive lesson.

Im looking at the Woodcraft cut style because those asswipes at Yoyodyne still dont have a definitive 06' model.
Then again, Eric Wood at Woodcraft couldnt give me an answer either. "Uhhhh, a dealer said they would work..."
Thanks guy, Ill place an order right now...sheesh.

Bent it with your shin? Are you serious? Either the slider is weak as heck of your shin is tough as nails. Which is it? Cause I got a set a Lightech on the way and if they are crap I'm sending them back. For $130 they should NOT be crap.
