I have / had the Shoguns and they worked great and fit easily. I tank slapped and hit a wall which did most of the damage to my bike
but then it slid for about 80 feet or so. The Shogun Framesliders work perfectly (Both Spool & Frame) I will buy again once I rebuild!

The only way to really help prevent damage is by buying a crash cage, but how many people want to ride around like that?
