my clutch fluid is black compared to my brake fluid. i have 5000 miles on an 06 1000rr. is this normal?

 

yes...its fine. its the same exact fluid. probably dont have to change it for a while. call the dealership and ask them when u need to change it, id tell ya but i dont have my service manual wit me

 

I bought my straight from the dealership... 0.6 miles on it... When i first brought it home... my clutch fluid was getting dark... compared to my brothers fluid it was black... (he has a 2007 GSXR1000) .. im not paying attention to it... though,..i have 466 miles on it now..

The clutch fluid uses the same fluid as your brake fluid..It changes color very quickly. Had my brake and clutch fluid flushed and filled together..the clutch fluid turns dark as soon as a week of usage while my brake fluid still stays the same. [&:]

 

yeah i had the same problem and the techs said it was nothing to worry about and that it was gonna do that so yeah youre good to go

 

hmm well i have SS lines and my fluid looks pretty good
