Close up pics of your 06-07 fender eliminators installed...
I am in the process of installing the kit from Competition Werkes on my 06 CBR1000RR. I have the TwoBrothers carbon fiber canister and I really wanted to delete as much of the visible heat shielding as possible as it looks fugly and also the CF canister doesn't seem to throw that much heat anyway. I was hoping some of you guy have already dealt with this issue and can show me what worked for youbefore I just go crazy with the angle grinder!

Great pics Kodiak but what I'm specifically looking for is pics of the heat shields removed or modified. I've seen pics of FE kits with aftermarket cans and no heat shields, but I just can't seem find any at the moment...

I just istalled my new setup last weekend and I think it turned out pretty damn good. I got a cheap license plate bracket from Xtreme Discount Cycle, installed a Clear Alternatives taillight, and found a guy that would powder coat my passenger pegs and install LED blinkers in them for a good price. Sorry for the blurry action pics of the blinkers... It doesn't look like it in the picture, but they are very bright.

Well, I ended up busting out the Dremel tool with the cut off wheel and trimming the metal heat shield back enough to where it isn't easily visible and I'm pretty happy with the results.

If your running a Carbon fiber or Titanium canister. Than just completely remove the heat shields. I did it, its been like that for two years on my bike hasn't melted any plastic or haven't had any real problem's with heat. Sorry about the pictures took them with my phone.
